Hmoud Shantoot

- 1975: Earned the first prize at the Plastic Arts Centers exhibition in Damascus, Syria.
- 1980: Graduated with honors from the College of Fine Arts in Damascus. Was awarded the top ranking in a competition for enrolling in the Paris College of Fine Arts (I'Ecole des Beaux-Arts d Paris).
- 1984: Graduated with honors from the Paris College of Fine Arts.
- 1999: Earned the first prize (gold medals) in Latakia Benally in Syria.
- 2000: Obtained awards of excellence in Amman, Kuwait and Spain.

• Participated in a number of Icom workshops in Alexandria/ 1999, Tunis/ 2001, and Amman/2003.

• Held over 25 solo exhibitions, and participated in a number of exhibitions in Amman , Damascus, Washington, Tunis, Egypt, Kuwait, Lebanon, Germany, Paris and Canada

• Established a solo exhibition in the Foresight Art Gallery in the year 2007.
