I Come From There and Remember...

The war events of 1948 changed the Palestinian landscape forever, transforming more than 900,000 people in refugees. But who were they before they became refugees? We remember words from a poem by Mahmoud Darwish:
I come from there and remember
Born as mortals are, I have a mother
And a house with many windows...
I come from there, and remember... a photo exhibition evoking the life of pre- 1948 Palestine. It premiers simultaneously in six locations- Jerusalem, Ramallah, Gaza, Amman, Beirut and Damascus- in May 2008.
