Salman Al Basri

• هو من جيل الستينات في الحركة التشكيلية العراقية من مواليد 1939 البصرة - العراق.
• من مؤسسي جماعه الظل.
• دبلوم شرف فنون جميلة ولغاية حصوله الدكتوره لاطروحته الموسومه ( الفن التشيكلي / مفهوم الجوده واخراج اللوحة الفنيه).
• له عدة مؤلفات: كتاب التشريح لمعاهد الفنون الجميلة، كتاب التشريح لدارسي الفن الاكاديمي، كتاب الشناشيل البصريه.
• اقام العديد من المعارض الشخصية في اوروبا.
• حائز على عده جوائز دولية له مقتنيات من اعماله في عدة متاحف.
• كتب عنه الصحف المحليه والعالميه.
• مقيم في هولندا وهو متفرغ للرسم.

He belongs to the Iraqi Plastic Art movementof the sixties generation.He was born in Basra in Iraq 1939.
Salman is one of the founders of Al-Dhil Group (Shadow Group)
He graduated with honors with a diploma of Fine Arts, later on acquired a PHD on his thesis (PLASTIC ARTS / THE CONCEPT OT HIGH QUALITY PRODUCTION OF AN ART PIECE)
He has many writings: The Anatomy Book for Fine Art Institutes, The Anatomy Book for Students of Academic Arts, and The Visual Shanasheel Book.
He held manysolo exhibitions in Europe.He won several international prizes, many of his art works are in various museums.
Local and universal newspapers published articles about him and he's currently living in Holland as a full time artist.
