Nizar Sabour

Born in 1958 - Latakia/Syria, Nizar Sabour graduated from Damascus University (Faculty of Fine Arts) in 1981. He obtained his PhD in Philosophy of Arts at Moscow. Currently teaches Painting in the Faculty of Arts at Damascus University. Sabour won the first prize at the Biennial of Mahaba, Latakia and received an award of recognition at the Second Sharjah Biennial in 1995. His works can be found in the Museum of Eastern Culture- Moscow, Oscar Gallery -Washington/USA, the Ministry of Culture-Damascus, Bahrain Museum and Jordan National Gallery.
